Volunteer Expectations

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Pride In Business Celebration! Our volunteers are absolutely critical to the success of the event — your energy, professionalism, and warm welcome help create an unforgettable experience for our guests.

As a volunteer, we ask that you:
  • Attend a mandatory volunteer orientation at Sesh Coworking prior to the event to get important details, meet the team, and prepare for your role.
  • Arrive on time and be ready to jump into your assigned role. Timeliness is crucial to ensure smooth operations and a great guest experience.
  • Embody radical hospitality — greet every guest with warmth, positivity, and inclusivity. Every interaction is an opportunity to make someone feel seen and celebrated.
  • Dress for success — we ask all volunteers to wear business attire (think professional, polished, and ready to represent Pride In Business with pride!).
  • Commit fully to your assigned shift — we are counting on you to help make the event extraordinary.
  • Communicate any emergencies — if something comes up and you are unable to volunteer, please notify the event contact as soon as possible.
  • Represent the Chamber’s values — maintain a spirit of professionalism, inclusion, and respect throughout your volunteer experience.
  • Smile and have fun! Your enthusiasm and positivity will help set the tone for the entire celebration.
Please note: All volunteers will be provided free admission to the 2026 Pride In Business Celebration Luncheon + After Party.

I have read and agree to the Volunteer Acknowledgement and understand that volunteer participation is subject to approval by the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.

By submitting this form, I acknowledge that I am expressing interest in volunteering for the Pride In Business Celebration Luncheon + After Party in support of the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, its mission, and the purpose of this event.

I understand that volunteers are expected to help create a welcoming, respectful, safe, and inclusive environment for all guests, honorees, sponsors, speakers, exhibitors, staff, and fellow volunteers.

I agree to follow all volunteer instructions, event guidelines, venue policies, and directions from Chamber staff or designated event leadership. I understand that volunteer roles are assigned at the discretion of the Chamber and that the Chamber reserves the right to decline, reassign, or remove any volunteer at any time if their conduct is inconsistent with the purpose, expectations, or safe operation of the event.
