If your company is an active Chamber Impact Partner and you hold a leadership role in your company’s LGBTQ+ inclusion efforts – then this event is for YOU!

     

Join leaders of LGBTQ+ & Ally ERGs, BRGs or Affinity groups and DEI professionals at the January LGBTQ+ B/ERG Leadership Roundtable hosted by Chamber Impact Partner, NRG. Light refreshments will be provided courtesy of NRG One Space ERG.

Ready to share B/ERG best practices and connect with colleagues from across the region?  Then make your plans to join us for the January LGBTQ+ B/ERG Leadership Roundtable. As part of the Chamber’s LGBTQ+ Workplace Alliance program, these B/ERG Leadership Roundtables are an opportunity for officers or those in leadership roles to Connect, Network, Share, & Learn – all important Spheres of Impact for our program. 

January’s program will feature two exciting portions:

  • Presentation by NRG’s One Space - Empowerment Through Diversity: Focus on how a diverse workforce brings innovative solutions to the challenges the power industry faces, such as sustainability, customer experience, and modernization of decision-making. 

  • Mario Harper (he/him), Lead, U.S. Business Action to End HIV. Mario will share an update on the Chamber’s joint initiative with Health Action Alliance to address HIV/AIDS in the Greater Houston area through a business lens and our upcoming February 12th meeting of the Houston Business Action to End HIV chapter.   

We will also have an open discussion opportunity to share best practices and ask questions for peer-to-peer engagement. Bring your questions and ideas to share. 



Parking & Security Note:

Please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes early to allow time for parking and security. Parking in the area is limited so we encourage you to carpool or rideshare. There are public parking lots and garages located around the building but give yourself plenty of time to find a place to park and enter the building. 

We will meet in the NRG Welcome office located in the lobby of 910 Louisiana Street, Houston, TX 77002 (on the Smith side of the building. You can enter Smith Street or Louisiana Street – just pass by the elevator banks in the middle to get to the Smith side). Members of NRG One Space will meet you in the lobby to escort you to the meeting location. Please bring an ID and plan to arrive on-time to allow for security check-in. 


Who should attend?

This event is limited to officers or leadership roles within a company’s LGBTQ+ & Ally Employee Resource Group, Business Resource Group (BRG), or Affinity group if that company is a current Impact Partner with the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce. 

As part of the Chamber’s LGBTQ+ Workplace Alliance program this event is specifically tailored to leaders who are supporting internal LGBTQ+ and ally initiatives, their executive sponsors and supporting staff leading B/ERG work at companies who are active Impact Partners.
