LGBTBE® Certification 101

Is your business 51% or more LGBT-owned? If so, you don't want to miss this workshop to learn more about how to become an LGBT certified business entity (LGBTBE®). The LGBTBE® certification gives LGBT business owners a host of opportunities to enhance your visibility with corporations seeking to do business with LGBT suppliers. The LGBTBE® certification allows business owners access to contracting opportunities with many Fortune 500 companies and can help you expand the scope of your business through supplier diversity.

In this workshop, participants will learn more about the LGBTBE® certification and how to get certified from our keynote speaker, Sabrina Gill Kent, Senior Vice President, with the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). The NGLCC is the official certifying body for the LGBTBE® certification.

Participants will hear from a panel of experts from Chevron, Shell, NGLCC and an LGBTBE certified business owner about how to utilize the LGBTBE® certification including:

  • What are the business opportunities with the LGBTBE® certification?
  • What is the role of a prime contractor versus a subcontractor?
  • How can you do business with Chevron, Shell and other companies that recognize the LGBTBE® certification?  Where do you start?
  • How do businesses integrate the LGBTBE® certification into their overall business development strategy?

Plus, learn more about the upcoming NGLCC International Business & Leadership Conference in Las Vegas and how LGBTBE® certified businesses can participate in matchmaking and other opportunities at the conference.
