Description

VIRTUAL LUNCH & LEARN
FIGHTING HIV STIGMA THROUGH B/ERG PROGRAMMING
Tuesday, May 6, 2025  |  12:00 - 1:00PM

Join us for the LGBTQ+ Workplace Alliance February Lunch & Learn!

Today, in Houston and across the U.S. and the globe, HIV continues to impact the health and lives of people more than 4 decades after the start of this pandemic. We believe a coalition of companies working together can change the trajectory of HIV in the U.S. by leveraging their resources and influence. And that’s where B/ERG groups come in.

B/ERG groups are powerful networks within businesses that can increase HIV visibility, fight stigma in the workplace, and help educate colleagues about ways to protect themselves and make their workplaces more responsive to the local HIV epidemic.

Online registration closes at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6th.

Join us virtually for a joint gathering of Houston Business Action to End HIV and the Chamber’s LGBTQ+ Workplace Alliance program for our Spring lunch & learn. Our special guest moderator will be Mario Harper, Director and Co-lead at U.S. Business Action to End HIV.

SPEAKER

Mario Harper (he/him)
Director and Co-lead
U.S. Business Action to End HIV

Learn how B/ERG groups can help their companies address HIV stigma through educational programming, incorporating HIV awareness days into your calendar, and linking with community resources and organizations throughout the year.  RSVP today and share this event with other B/ERGs in your company since HIV impacts all of us, not just the LGBTQ+ community.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This event is complimentary and open to all members and partners of U.S. Business Alliance to End HIV and any employee from a company that is a current Impact Partner with the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber’s LGBTQ+ Workplace Alliance program is specifically tailored to those companies that have an LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group, Business Resource Group (BRG), or Affinity group and DEI professionals advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion. These virtual programs are not limited to those in the Greater Houston metro area but will at times focus on Texas-centric content.

Register today for this Lunch & Learn opportunity.
