Webinar: Emerging Issues Around Contracts, Insurance Policies and Employees Related to COVID-19

Thursday, March 26, 2020 (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Join us for a webinar to talk about emerging issues around contracts, insurance policies and employees. Dealing with COVID-19 is a dynamic undertaking and information is key to protecting your business. In our current environment, understanding some of the emerging issues will help business owners start to think through some of the potential implications of the COVID-19.

While there are no answers in this fast-changing world due to COVID-19, understanding what you may need to consider as a business owner will be helpful with areas such as:

  • Contract Issues: breaches, force majeure, contract performance
  • Insurance Policies: claims, notice, policy granting provisions and exclusions
  • Employment: sick pay under the newly signed legislation and teleworking concerns

Our presenter will be Mark Deaton, J.D., Shareholder, with Chamber Member, Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, PC.

Mark routinely represents clients in complex litigation involving commercial disputes and product liability in both state and federal courts. Mark’s litigation experience covers a broad group of industries, including transportation, oil and gas, brick-and-mortar retail, manufacturing and construction. He counsels owners, contractors and other stakeholders in contract and construction defect matters. Mark also has extensive experience representing a wide range of upstream and midstream oil and gas entities in commercial, title and personal injury disputes from both defense and plaintiff sides.
