***LEGISLATIVE ACTION ALERT***
SB 17 and HB 2827 are working their way through the Texas Legislature. These bills would allow ANY state licensed person to deny services based upon their "sincerely held religious belief." Put simply, these bills would legalize discrimination. We need our members to take ACTION!
We have three ways you can help to keep discriminatory legislation from becoming law:
1. Sign an open letter opposing discriminatory legislation. (Click Here) Forward this email or the link to your business associates and ask them to sign on too. Please sign TODAY! This takes less than 2 minutes.
2. Attend the business coalition press conference in Austin on Wednesday, March 27, at 1:00 PM.
3. Testify! The Senate State Affairs Committee will hear testimony on SB 17 on either Monday, March 25, or Thursday, March 28. Make your voice heard, literally!
