VIRTUAL LUNCH & LEARN: TRANSGENDER VISIBILITY & ALLYSHIP IN THE WORKPLACE
Wednesday, March 20, 2024 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)
Description
TRANSGENDER VISIBILITY & ALLYSHIP IN THE WORKPLACE
Wednesday, March 20, 2024 | 12:00 - 1:00PM
March 31st is International Transgender Day of Visibility - a day to celebrate the contributions and lives of transgender and non-binary people while raising awareness of the reality of discrimination and violence faced by transgender people worldwide. To acknowledge this important date, the Chamber invites our Impact Partners with B/ERG groups to join the LGBTQ+ Workplace Alliance virtual Lunch & Learn, for a discussion of Transgender Visibility and the importance of Allyship in the Workplace.
A panel of speakers will share their perspectives and experiences as transgender individuals working for major employers and Impact Partners. Discussion will include a conversation about why respecting pronouns matters and what allies can do to support their transgender colleagues. We will also feature a Chamber non-profit member that is doing work in Houston to make a difference for transgender Texans.
