Join us for the September Brewing Up Business, with casual networking starting at 8:30 a.m. on our platform Airmeet. Grab your coffee and join a roundtable, switch between tables or meet one-on-one...we've got you covered however you like to network! After we finish the short program, stick around for more networking and connection at your leisure in the Chamber Networking Café.

We are proud to feature Executive Level Member, METRO, and its important work in the region.  METRO provides safe, clean, reliable, accessible and friendly public transportation services to our region.  Learn more about what METRO is doing to increase transportation options in the region. Joining us for a fireside chat is Tanya McWashington, Vice President, Public Engagement with METRO.

Tanya McWashington has had the opportunity to lead the development and execution of public communication programs on some of the largest infrastructure projects implemented in the Houston area by agencies such as the Texas Department of Transportation, Harris County Flood Control District, Harris County Toll Road Authority and the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (Houston METRO), where she currently serves as Vice President of Public Engagement.

With over 25 years of experience in community and stakeholder engagement, working on transportation infrastructure projects that ultimately improve mobility and overall quality of life has been a rewarding experience for this native Houstonian. Tanya has led, and managed collaborative teams tasked with advancing agency programs and conveying project and service information, building relationships with community and business groups, and developing education and outreach programs.

As part of Houston METRO’s Government & Public Affairs team, she is responsible for directing the development, implementation and evaluation of the Authority’s comprehensive public engagement program. A two-time graduate of Texas Southern University, she holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in communications.
