Description
ADVANCING INCLUSION THROUGH SOCIAL ADVOCACY
Wednesday, November 13, 2024 | 12:00 - 1:00PM
2025 will bring a new legislative session in Texas and other states around the country. We have a fantastic program planned for this session to share information about how you can engage and why it’s important to be involved in the legislative process.
We are excited to welcome special guest, Rep. Ann Johnson. She will share her perspective as an openly LGBTQ+ elected official in the Texas Legislature. She currently serves as the State Representative for Texas House District 134 in Houston.
We will have a conversation with Sam Gammage, who is the State Government Affairs Director, Southwest Region at Dow, who will share more about the company’s advocacy engagement at all levels of government and how GLAD, the LGBTQ+ Business Resource Group (BRG), has been involved.
Key Takeaways from this Lunch & Learn:
- Learn more about responsible corporate engagement on LGBTQ+ issues
- How your B/ERG can engage with your company government affairs teams.
- Why your individual voice matters and collectively the voices of business leaders in our communities when talking to elected officials.
Don’t miss this timely and important virtual conversation! Register TODAY and reserve your spot.
