Jewish community joins campaign to celebrate LGBTQ+ and allied individuals
“We’ve been so moved by Houstonians from all backgrounds coming together and being photographed in the second year of our ‘Show Your Pride’ campaign,” said Jack Berger, director of Programming and Events for the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.
For the second year in a row, the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce and Soneja Creative joined forces through the “Show Your Pride” campaign. This program seeks to highlight the beauty of diversity, break down stereotypes and contribute to a world where everyone can openly and proudly express their authentic selves.
“We’ve been so moved by Houstonians from all backgrounds coming together and being photographed in the second year of our ‘Show Your Pride’ campaign,” said Jack Berger, director of Programming and Events for the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce. “I am thrilled to see so many Houstonians from our Jewish community, like me, join us.”
Through open studio sessions and photo shoots at community events in March, April and May, Houstonians were photographed in front of a celebratory backdrop designed by Chandrayee Soneja of Soneja Creative. During the sessions, they chose three powerful words in response to the prompt, “what pride means to me.”
