Our hearts are broken by the tragic loss of Chamber member Thy Mitchell and her two children.

Thy was an incredible ally to the LGBTQ+ community and a valued member of our Chamber Family. Through Traveler’s Table and Traveler’s Cart, she created spaces rooted in hospitality, connection, and community. We were honored to recently host our April Meet & Eat at Traveler’s Cart, and we were already looking forward to more opportunities to gather and partner together.

There is a hole in our hearts at the Chamber.

When we say Chamber Family, we mean it. We grieve alongside Thy’s family, loved ones, friends, team members, and everyone impacted by this devastating tragedy, including the staff at Traveler’s Table and Traveler’s Cart.

The circumstances surrounding this loss are heartbreaking and deeply painful. In moments like this, grief can feel overwhelming. We encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out for support, check in on one another, and seek help when needed. The Chamber Directory includes member organizations and providers offering mental health, counseling, wellness, and community support resources.

Thy’s kindness, generosity, and support for the LGBTQ+ community will not be forgotten. We hold all who knew and loved her and her children close in our hearts during this unimaginable time.
