HOUSTON, TX (November 24, 2020) – The Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce Foundation is stepping up this holiday season to help those who are most vulnerable in the LGBTQ+ community by holding a Holiday Food Drive to support those in need. The Food Drive, supporting the Montrose Center, will help fill holiday boxes for LGBTQ+ Seniors.

“The pandemic is severely impacting LGBTQ+ Seniors and with the rise in COVID cases, it’s making it even more challenging.” said Tammi Wallace (she|her), Co-Founder and President & CEO of the Greater Houston LGBT Chamber.  “At the Chamber, we believe that we must step up and help the most vulnerable in the LGBTQ+ community during this pandemic and, with the food drive, we are raising needed food and funds to support LGBTQ+ Seniors.” 

The Title Sponsor for the Chamber Holiday Food Drive is Amegy Bank, and the Anchor Sponsor is SignatureCare ER. The Chamber wishes to acknowledge the generous support of the Chamber Holiday Food Drive sponsors and community partners for collaborating on this important event to help LGBTQ+ Seniors.

The Chamber Holiday Food Drive will be held on Friday, December 4 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  The drop-off location is SignatureCare ER – Montrose located at 1007 Westheimer.  Donors will be able to drive-thru and drop-off in a safe and socially distant environment and never need to leave their vehicle.
