What is the Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce?
The Chamber is the leading voice for the LGBTQ+ and Allied Business Community in the Greater Houston region.
Mission: The Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce accelerates economic opportunity for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer + business community through a strong network of business allies, innovative programs, strategic partnerships and advance policies that foster economic inclusion and equality.
The Chamber launched in 2016 to ensure representation for the LGBTQ+ Business Community. The organization was founded by Co-Founders Tammi Wallace and Gary Wood. The Chamber is supported by members and Corporate Partners that invest in the mission of the organization.

Removing barriers for underestimated entrepreneurs is at the core of LiftFund’s work
HOUSTON, TX (July 6, 2021) – The Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce has announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formally collaborate with LiftFund to support underserved LGBTQ+ and Allied owned small businesses and entrepreneurs who do not have access to loans from traditional commercial sources. The collaboration will focus on six core areas including collaboration, facilitation, engagement, sharing, securing and inclusion. View the full details of the MOU here.
“The collaboration with LiftFund will give underserved LGBTQ and Allied business owners access to the necessary capital to help grow their businesses,” said Tammi Wallace, Co-Founder, President & CEO. “More than ever, we need to lift up entrepreneurs who need support and have been historically shut out or discriminated against when it comes to accessing capital. We are proud to partner with LiftFund and appreciate their commitment to the LGBTQ+ and Allied Business Community.”

LiftFund’s mission is to provide credit and business support services to small businesses and entrepreneurs who do not have access to loans from traditional commercial sources. LiftFund helps its clients who often come from underserved communities, understand credit and funding options to launch, grow or scale their businesses.
