The Chamber is the leading voice for the LGBTQ+ and Allied Business Community in the Greater Houston region.
Mission: The Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce accelerates economic opportunity for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer + business community through a strong network of business allies, innovative programs, strategic partnerships and advance policies that foster economic inclusion and equality.
The Chamber launched in 2016 to ensure representation for the LGBTQ+ Business Community. The organization was founded by Co-Founders Tammi Wallace and Gary Wood. The Chamber is supported by members and Corporate Partners that invest in the mission of the organization.

Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce Pride In Business Event on Track to Be the Largest To Date

HOUSTON, TX (June 13, 2023) – The Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce will host its signature event, Pride In Business Celebration & Awards luncheon, on June 23, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Downtown. To date, the luncheon is on track to be the largest Pride In Business Celebration in the organization’s history both in attendees and fundraising.
The Chamber is proud to collaborate with KHOU 11 as the Pride In Business Celebration Media Partner on the signature event. The emcee for the event will be Cheryl Mercedes, Reporter & Anchor, KHOU 11.
The Special Guest for the Pride In Business Celebration is Francisco Sánchez, Jr. (he/him). As the Special Guest for this signature Pride Month event, Associate Administrator Sánchez, Jr. will share his personal story and LGBTQ+ journey. Associate Administrator Sánchez Jr. will join Cheryl Mercedes, emcee, on stage for a "fireside chat" to talk about his career, including his path to government, his background and his LGBTQ+ journey.
This event takes place annually during Pride Month and is a unique occasion to celebrate LGBTQ+ and Allied businesses in the Greater Houston area with a focus on LGBTQ+ economic inclusion. The Pride In Business Celebration is the only event in Houston focused on the LGBTQ+ business community during Pride Month. The entire community is invited to participate in the luncheon and after party to celebrate Pride Month.

The Chamber recently announced the Pride In Business After Party which will be hosted by Chamber Member, KiKi located at 2409 Grant (adjacent to BUDDY'S). The luncheon and after party will be a wonderful way to kick off Pride Weekend in Houston.
The annual event is breaking records this year, in large part, due to the 50+ sponsors and partners supporting this event.
