HOUSTON, TX (June 7, 2024) – The Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce will host its signature event, Pride In Business Celebration & Awards luncheon, on June 7, 2024, from 11:00AM – 1:30PM at the Hilton Americas-Houston. The luncheon will be the largest Pride In Business Celebration in the organization’s history both in attendees and fundraising.  As part of the program, eleven Pride In Business Award Honorees will be recognized.  The Chamber is proud to collaborate with KHOU 11 as the Pride In Business Celebration Media Partner on the signature event.  The emcee for the event will be Cheryl Mercedes, Reporter & Anchor, KHOU 11.

Special Guest for the Pride In Business Celebration is Houston Mayor John Whitmire (he/him) and David Begnaud (he/him), Lead National Correspondent for CBS Mornings.  Mr. Begnaud will join Cheryl Mercedes, emcee, on stage for a "fireside chat" to talk about his career, including his personal background, his career path to journalism and his LGBTQ+ journey.

This event takes place annually during Pride Month and is a unique occasion to celebrate LGBTQ+ and Allied businesses in the Greater Houston area with a focus on LGBTQ+ economic inclusion. The Pride In Business Celebration is the only event in Houston focused on the LGBTQ+ business community during Pride Month.

The Pride In Business After Party will take place at the R24 Lounge located on the rooftop of the Hilton Americas - Houston.

The estimated 700 attendees that will attend tomorrow’s annual event is breaking records this year, in large part, due to the 50+ sponsors and partners supporting this event.
