What is the Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce?

The Chamber is the leading voice for the LGBTQ+ and Allied Business Community in the Greater Houston region.

Mission: The Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce accelerates economic opportunity for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer + business community through a strong network of business allies, innovative programs, strategic partnerships and advance policies that foster economic inclusion and equality.

The Chamber launched in 2016 to ensure representation for the LGBTQ+ Business Community.  The organization was founded by Co-Founders Tammi Wallace and Gary Wood.  The  Chamber is supported by members and Corporate Partners that invest in the mission of the organization.

Samantha Smith, Award-Winning International Semi-Finalist & Motivational Speaker, to join the Texas LGBTQ Chambers of Commerce for Pride Across Texas

HOUSTON, TX (October 29, 2021) - The Texas LGBTQ Chambers of Commerce are excited to announce that Samantha Smith will be the speaker for Pride Across Texas on Thursday, November 11, 2021. The event runs from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Samantha Smith (she/her/hers) is an Award-Winning International Semi-Finalist & Motivational Speaker. She was named one of the top 28 speakers out 40,000+ in the world and a 2021 semi-finalist in the World Championship of Public Speaking for Toastmasters.

A former Police Officer and current Volunteer Firefighter, she takes the experiences serving her Community and brings a message that engages everyone. As a proud mother, wife, and lesbian she calls her audiences to take action, to be accountable and to effect positive change in their communities to protect those whose lives depend on it.

Pride Across Texas is an LGBTQ+ virtual networking event as big as Texas itself! The event is a quarterly event hosted by the Texas LGBTQ Chambers of Commerce. Combined, the coalition members of the Texas LGBTQ Chambers of Commerce have more than 1,000 members. The event offers members and guests, including LGBTQ+- and Allied owned businesses and professionals, the opportunity to connect across the state of Texas. About the Texas LGBTQ Chambers of Commerce: The Texas LGBTQ Chambers of Commerce is a coalition of the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce, North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce, and San Antonio LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
