The Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce is providing an update regarding our Co-Founder, President & CEO, Tammi Wallace, who has been in Israel over the past week as a participant in the North American LGBTQ+ Pride 2025 Delegation. The delegation was organized by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in recognition of Pride Month.
The purpose of the visit was to engage with the local LGBTQ+ community and gain a deeper understanding of the shared challenges faced in the region, particularly in the wake of the October 7 attacks. Tammi and fellow delegates from the United States, Canada, and other countries were in Tel Aviv at the time Israel launched a direct military response against Iran.
We can confirm that Tammi is currently in a safe location. The Chamber remains in ongoing communication with her, and the MFA continues to provide support to all delegates while actively coordinating evacuation plans.
We will continue to provide regular updates on the latest developments as we learn more.
