The Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce is relieved and grateful to share that our Co-Founder, President & CEO, Tammi Wallace, has safely returned to Houston.
Tammi recently traveled to Israel as part of a North American LGBTQ+ Delegation, invited by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in recognition of Pride Month.
Amid the escalating international conflict between Israel and Iran, the Delegation was evacuated. The group endured an arduous journey—spending nearly 10 hours traveling to and crossing the Jordanian border, followed by an overnight stay in Amman before continuing to Dubai. From there, Tammi boarded a 16.5-hour flight, arriving at George Bush Intercontinental Airport last Friday.
Tammi has asked us to convey her heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support and concern shown for both her and her wife during this challenging time. At present, she is taking time to rest and recover after an intense and exhausting experience.
We are incredibly thankful for her safe return home and appreciate the community's continued support.
