Derrick Heyward, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from Texas Southern University, (Life Member Alumni) and an M.ED (Health and Physical Education) from the University of Houston (Life Member Alumni).  He has Instructor Trainer Certifications from the American Heart Association and American Red Cross for Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
