Harris County
Although she is a certified peace officer and fire service professional her experience in emergency management has proven instrumental during significant crisis and declared disasters. Christensen coordinated shelter logistics amidst the catastrophic Hurricane Harvey in 2017, collaborating closely with the Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management. Before joining Harris County, her tenure in the pulp/paper and chemical sectors along the Houston Ship Channel equipped her with valuable connections and insights. These have been invaluable in aiding during incidents, as well as in orchestrating drills and facility expansions.
Christensen holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice Leadership and Management from Sam Houston State University. She maintains Master Level Certifications from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, Texas Commission for Fire Protection, is a certified Texas Emergency Manager along with various additional certifications. She is active in regional, state, and national organizations for law enforcement, fire protection, and emergency management.
