The 3rd Thursday Breakfast is one of the Chamber’s most popular monthly gatherings—bringing together 130–150 LGBTQ+ and Allied business owners, professionals, nonprofits, and community from across Greater Houston every month.
We are excited to announce His Britannic Majesty’s Consul General Richard Shackleton MBE, with the British Consul-General Houston, as our guest speaker. Consul General Shackleton will share more about the role of a Consul General and the work of the British Consulate-General Houston, including how consulates help strengthen diplomatic, business, cultural, and community ties across the region.
He will also highlight the longstanding relationship between the British Consulate-General Houston and the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, and the importance of continued connection and collaboration across Houston’s diverse business and civic landscape.

Our featured speaker this month is His Britannic Majesty’s Consul General Richard Shackleton MBE, with the British Consul-General Houston. Consul General Shackleton will share more about the role of a Consul General and the work of the British Consulate-General Houston, including how consulates help strengthen diplomatic, business, cultural, and community ties across the region.
As an openly LGBTQ+ diplomat, Consul General Shackleton also brings an important perspective on visibility, representation, and leadership. He will share more about the longstanding relationship between the British Consulate-General Houston and the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, and the importance of continued connection and collaboration across Houston’s diverse business and civic landscape.
