New Beginnings for LAMBDA NextGen! Supporting LGTBQ+ Young Professionals

HOUSTON, TX (March 14, 2023) – The Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that LAMBDA NextGen has officially become a program to support LGBTQ+ young professionals across the region. As a formal program of the Chamber, LAMBDA NextGen, gives LGBTQ+ young professionals access to a host of events, programming, networking and growth opportunities.
LAMBDA NextGen has a successful history having launched in 2013 as Houston’s first young professionals networking group, ages 21-35, focused on bringing LGBTQ+ professionals together to build a strong connection in an ever-changing community.
As an organization committed to LGBTQ+ economic empowerment and economic inclusion, the Chamber is committed to helping LGBTQ+ Young Professionals in the greater Houston region thrive and succeed. The goals for the LAMBDA NextGen program include:
- Supporting a thriving LGBTQ+ Young Professionals in the greater Houston region.
- Providing a safe space for LGBTQ+ Young Professionals to connect with each other and the larger community.
- Connecting LGBTQ+ Young Professionals for social networking to foster networking and community.
- Offering programming and events to support LGBTQ+ Young Professionals and foster personal and professional growth and career opportunities through professional development events.
- Engaging LGBTQ+ Young Professionals to connect with the community and LGBTQ+ member nonprofits to make a positive impact through service and collaborative events.
Through the program, LGBTQ+ young professionals can join the Chamber at the Young Professionals rate and receive access to an array of resources, events and programming. Learn more about the LAMBDA NextGen program at lambdanextgen.lgbt.
LAMBDA NextGen will officially kick-off as one of the Chamber’s newest programs on March 30th at Eureka Heights Brewery, 841 W. 18th St., from 5:00 – 7:00pm. Learn more here.
With this exciting new chapter for LAMBDA, the Chamber and LAMBDA look forward to a strong program to support LGBTQ+ young professionals in the region.
